MY BACKGROUND
I have always enjoyed teaching alongside my performing career, being able to share my love of music and helping those new to learning music and an instrument is I challenge I really do thrive on. I love helping the individual see their strengths and help them find ways to work through their challenges musically and technically.

I have had the opportunity to transfer my musical education and performing skills to work on outreach and educational projects. I thoroughly enjoyed being vocal consultant for Scottish Opera's outreach programme, the opportunity to bring opera to all, was both rewarding and educating for me. Creating a staff choir at a hospice in Scotland that still runs today is an achievement that I am proud of. Being part of creating an opera for able and disabled children in neighbouring schools was such a joy, seeing children working together with no prejudice and performing together was inspirational. I especially enjoyed creating a choir for people with dementia and their carers, this choir still runs today-Memory Spinners. I have recently worked with Scottish Opera training and creating workshops for Long Covid and other respiratory conditions sufferers.
I am currently researching and hoping to help bring choirs back after the pandemic for young children and adults in the Kintyre area.
For my own fun and growth, I volunteer on the committee of the local brass band and play percussion for them.
